Steptoe appreciates your interest in assisting with our recruitment efforts and welcomes all search firms. Below are guidelines that we expect all search firms to follow while conducting business with us. If you have any questions or would like to begin recruitment efforts, please contact our recruitment team.
Search Firm Requirements
- Steptoe requires that written agreement be in place with search firms prior to submitting resumes.
- All agreements are valid for the calendar year, and must be renewed each year.
- Search firms should contact the recruitment team and not our attorneys or staff, or no fee will be due.
- Search firms must obtain candidate consent before submitting applicant materials to Steptoe.
- We do not accept unsolicited resumes and they will not constitute as a submission.
- Steptoe will not consider submissions from search firms on behalf of law students, entry-level associates or judicial law clerk candidates.
- Steptoe honors a search firm's candidate for up to one year, if the same candidate is submitted within that year from a different search firm; the fee will be rewarded to the original search firm.
Candidates must be submitted through the Search Firm Sign In and will only be acknowledged through this portal.
