Event Details
Our Brussels Symposium and Cocktail Reception, taking place on Tuesday, 12 November, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Steptoe's presence in Brussels. Join us for this must-attend event, given the significant changes in political leadership and growing regulatory shifts globally, and in particular in the EU and the US.
In an era where global economic trends and environmental challenges are increasingly interconnected, our sessions will explore how geopolitical dynamics are reshaping international trade and regulations. Our Symposium comes at a pivotal time when the proposed new EU Commissioners face scrutiny by the European Parliament and shortly after the US presidential elections.
We will offer engaging discussions with senior officials from the EU, EU Member States, the US, and representatives from global corporate organizations, who with Steptoe and FTI speakers from Brussels, Washington, DC, London, and Hong Kong will provide insights on how changes in political leadership in the US and EU, as well as shifts in approaches to global trade and regulation, are affecting the business landscape.
Please contact events@steptoe.com if you are interested in attending this event.
Our distinguished speakers will include senior officials from Europe and the US, corporate executives, industry experts, Steptoe lawyers, and FTI representatives, including:
- Bertrand du Marais, Commissioner at the French Data Protection Commission ("CNIL") and Member of the French Administrative Supreme Court ("Conseil d'Etat")
- Dr. Frank Hoffmeister, Director - Head of the Legal Department, European External Action Services (EEAS)
