Examining the Trump Administration’s FCPA Position
To help keep up with the rapidly changing environment under the Trump Administration, Steptoe is offering short, bi-weekly virtual roundtables featuring a high-level analysis of the most recent initiatives in Congress, across the agencies, and from the White House.
Join members of Steptoe's Government Affairs and Public Policy group and Investigations & White-Collar Defense practice on Thursday, February 20 for the next installment in this series.
Our panel will share perspectives on the outlook for the FCPA in the near and long term following the February 10 Executive Order to "restore American competitiveness and security" and directing a pause in enforcement and issuance of new DOJ guidance on this topic. We'll also discuss the implications for companies doing business in the global marketplace, share observations regarding the future of corporate compliance programs, and address how enforcement and regulatory authorities in the UK and EU may react.
