Candice J. Kwark is an intellectual property lawyer and litigates across a variety of technical fields. Her practices focus on patent, trade secret, copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property-related litigation. She handles all facets of litigation, including pre-filing investigations, expert and fact discovery, witness preparation, discovery and dispositive motion practice, claim construction, and trial preparation.
Candice also has significant patent prosecution and portfolio counseling experience. As a patent fellow, she drafted patents applications in wide range of industries and technologies and worked with inventors to manage patent portfolios and develop strategies. Candice is a registered Patent Agent.
She has real-world experience in pharmaceutical, biochemistry, immunology, cardiovascular medicine, interactive health technology, and startup business, in addition to her degree in biology. During her law school, she has done collaborative research with the Department of Business and University of Amsterdam Department of Finance. Prior to joining Steptoe, she worked in Seoul at South Korea's largest firm.
