Overview
Jordan Markham focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. He is an experienced litigator who handles all facets of cases from pre-suit investigation through appeal, including managing complex fact and expert discovery, deposing numerous fact and expert witnesses, and coordinating pre-trial preparation. Notably, Jordan has played substantial roles in multiple bench and jury trials, taking the direct and cross examinations of key fact and expert witnesses, arguing at Markman hearings Daubert and in limine motions, and drafting dispositive motions, post-trial briefs, and appeal briefs. He has litigated patent cases in district courts throughout the United States, as well as at the International Trade Commission.
Additionally, Jordan has resolved intellectual property matters concerning chemical manufacturing, gene sequencing, optical switches, semiconductors, and mechanical devices. He also has considerable experience in analyzing and negotiating license agreements and addressing intellectual property issues in corporate and finance transactions. Apart from patent litigation, he also has handled trade secret, trademark, bankruptcy, and contract dispute cases.
Prior to becoming an IP litigator, Jordan was a synthetic organic chemist with a focus on synthetic methodology.
