Overview
Michael I. Green focuses his practice on life sciences patent litigation at the district court level, inter partes reviews (IPRs), and freedom-to-operate analyses. He has experience across a wide range of technologies including small molecule pharmaceuticals (Hatch-Waxman) and biotherapeutics (biologics), as well as phototherapy and medical imaging devices. Michael's small molecule experience includes treatments for opioid dependence, dry eye disease, bacterial infection, Huntington's disease, and several types of cancer (chronic myeloid leukemia, mantle cell lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndrome). His biologics experience includes monoclonal antibodies and other proteins used to treat various types of cancer.
Michael has experience at all stages of district court litigation, from the pleading stage to trial. His experience includes preparing written discovery; managing document discovery; taking and defending fact and expert depositions; preparing expert reports; drafting Markman and trial briefs; preparing direct and cross examinations; and drafting settlement agreements. His experience in IPR-related proceedings includes conducting pre-IPR diligence and drafting IPR petitions.
