Overview
Michael I. Green focuses his practice on life sciences patent litigation at the district court level, inter partes reviews (IPRs), and freedom-to-operate analyses. He has experience across a wide range of technologies including small molecule pharmaceuticals (Hatch-Waxman) and biotherapeutics (biologics), as well as phototherapy and medical imaging devices. Michael's small molecule experience includes treatments for opioid dependence, dry eye disease, type 2 diabetes, bacterial infection, schizophrenia, and several types of cancer (chronic myeloid leukemia, ovarian cancer, and myelodysplastic syndrome). His biologics experience includes monoclonal antibodies and other proteins used to treat various types of cancer.
Michael has experience at all stages of litigation, from the pleading stage to trial. His experience includes preparing pleadings and written discovery; managing document discovery; taking and defending fact and expert depositions; preparing expert reports; drafting Markman and trial briefs; preparing direct and cross-examinations; and drafting settlement agreements. Michael also has experience with drafting Federal Circuit appeal briefs.
