Maria Salomé focuses on EU regulatory compliance in the areas of financial services. In particular, Maria Salomé works on a broad range of matters relating to insurance law and regulation, banking and FinTech.
Beyond financial services, Maria Salomé also has experience in EU economic sanctions and the EU framework on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT).
Prior to joining Steptoe, Maria Salomé worked at the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), focusing on the compliance of international cooperation agreements.
