Overview
Global Investigations Review quoted Zoe Osborne in a May 11 article titled "SFO Halts Some Interviews Amid COVID-19 Lockdown." The article discusses how the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has stopped conducting compelled interviews amid nationwide COVID-19 social distancing measures. The SFO issued its first official piece of guidance on its operations during the coronavirus on May 7, explaining that case teams will be sending defense lawyers "relevant information relating to adapted ways of working."
Osborne says: "I am not sure that the guidance tells us anything that we didn't already know. It would have been great to see the SFO giving clearer guidance as to how it intends to mitigate the inevitable further delays on existing cases."
