"Attorneys General have become the place where all the action is happening," says Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones. The Commonwealth's 49th AG tells hosts Michelle Kallen and Weisiyu Jiang how the House of Delegates and a DC consumer-protection role shaped his approach. AG Jones details the day-one Public Advocacy Division — 70 attorneys handling housing, civil rights, voting rights, insurance and utilities. He also discusses Virginia's 400-plus data centers, antitrust as the "next frontier" for AGs after a bipartisan Live Nation win, a still-developing AI policy for his own office, and enforcement of Virginia's contested ban on children's social media use.
