John Caracappa, a partner in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, focuses on patent litigation and client counseling.  Mr. Caracappa is a first-chair litigator and regularly appears in District Courts across the country including the Eastern District of Texas, the District of Delaware, the District of Kansas, the Northern District of California, the Southern District of New York and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. 

Mr. Caracappa also regularly litigates before the International Trade Commission and in 2011, was recognized by Legal 500 US for Patent Litigation: International Trade Commission.

Mr. Caracappa litigates cases involving various technologies including excimer lasers, microprocessor programming and manufacturing, tire pressure monitors, medical devices, and software.
