Overview
Ziyuan (Zoey) Hong focuses her practice on matters related to US economic sanctions, export controls, and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and regularly advises clients on government investigations matters, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance. Her experience includes assisting companies and individuals navigating regulatory issues, helping clients create and implement compliance programs, planning and executing cross-border investigations, and seeking removal from OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List) and the BIS Entity List on behalf of the clients. Her experience and knowledge of both US and Chinese laws allow her to assist clients to achieve cross-border business goals.
Zoey has prior experience in conducting internal investigations at the investigation division of an international organization, clerking and dealing with financial crime cases at a criminal court in China, and advising multinational Hong Kong-listed companies on compliance issues at an international law firm.
