Consumer Chemical Regulations & Best Practices: A Discussion with Those Responsible for Company Compliance
More than 30 states and the federal government regulate consumer chemicals in some way. These chemicals are in almost everything that we come in contact with, whether it is food, packaging, cleaning or personal care products, or clothing. How does a company monitor and maintain compliance with all of the current and proposed laws that impact its ability to sell its products? From CA's Proposition 65 warnings to laws on food packaging and recycling, to the onslaught of PFAS-related laws, today’s regulatory landscape is increasingly complex. Regulatory heads and in-house counsel are on the front lines grappling with these issues in real time.
Please join Dennis Raglin, Chair of Steptoe's Prop 65 & Consumer Chemicals group, on Thursday, December 14, for a conversation with senior officers from two different industries - cosmetics and online marketplaces - impacted by these regulations. Together they will share insights applicable to all companies and discuss best practices for compliance in this fast-changing environment.
