Overview
Maahi Saini focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on consumer law, consumer protection, advertising, and technology-driven disputes. She advises clients on litigation and pre-litigation risk involving federal and state consumer protection laws, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), state-level UDAP statutes, false advertising laws, and FTC interpretation and enforcement trends. Her work spans advertising law, fintech and technology, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and consumer financial services, and includes legal drafting and analysis on sensitive consumer-facing issues involving emerging statutory, regulatory, and litigation risk.
Maahi is also a member of Steptoe's interdisciplinary artificial intelligence (AI) group, where she contributes to Steptoe's work at the intersection of law, technology, and emerging regulation. Her AI and technology work includes litigation-focused analysis, client-facing guidance, and published thought leadership on developing issues in AI law, privilege, and best practices. She also works on sensitive global trade secrets matters and intellectual property issues involving trademarks, right-to-repair laws, and emerging technology.
In addition, Maahi advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters across highly regulated industries. Her work includes securities regulatory matters involving trading platforms, digital assets, SEC registration issues, broker-dealer matters, and FINRA responses. She also advises on transportation and aviation matters, including litigation and compliance issues involving environmental statutes and aviation accessibility requirements.
Previously, Maahi worked as a student attorney in the Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinics' Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic. She was also a legal intern at Lawyers Without Borders, an international nonprofit organization that engages lawyers in advancing the rule of law globally.
