Overview
Meredith focuses her practice on white-collar criminal defense and internal investigations. She represents both individuals and corporate clients through all stages of government investigations, and internal investigations and compliance matters. Her experience includes defending clients in trials and investigations involving the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, state attorneys general, and other agencies. Meredith is also involved in Steptoe’s pro bono program.
While in law school, Meredith was a judicial extern for the Honorable David S. Cayer in the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Meredith also worked as a research assistant to two professors, focusing her research on securities regulation and prosecutorial involvement in politics.

Representative Matters
- Successfully secured a complete defense acquittal for former Autonomy CEO Dr. Mike Lynch in a 13-year US federal criminal securities and accounting fraud case. The case relates to HP's $11-billion acquisition of Autonomy in 2011.
