(January 7, 2020, Los Angeles) — Steptoe & Johnson LLP is pleased to announce that Dennis Raglin has joined the firm's Los Angeles office as a partner. Raglin focuses his practice on counseling and litigation related to California Proposition 65 and in defending companies in products liability matters particularly in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
Raglin brings more than 20 years of experience providing compliance advice and defending claims in litigation. He has represented clients who manufacture and distribute implantable and prescription medical devices, prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, biologics, baby and toddler formula, nutritional supplements and food products, durable medical equipment, heavy equipment, automobiles, personal care goods and cosmetics, pet care products, household goods, sporting goods and water gear.
Raglin has a very active defense docket of Proposition 65 matters. He also regularly advises clients on minimizing the risk of getting ensnared in litigation, including recommendations relating to best practices on supplier indemnity and testing, products ingredients and packaging.
"Dennis has a leading practice representing clients in the increasingly important area of chemical regulation and disclosure programs," said Steptoe Chair Phil West. "His particular strength in Proposition 65 and other California programs will further deepen the pool of talent we offer clients in the chemicals and life sciences industries."
Raglin commented: "I am excited to join Steptoe's talented group focused on chemicals and life sciences in California. Steptoe offers me a robust platform to better serve my clients in this expanding field. I am also particularly delighted to reteam with my former colleagues who have joined Steptoe - Stephanie Sheridan, Anthony Anscombe and Carol Brophy."
