Overview
Andrew Saba is a commercial litigator who represents public and private companies, financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity sponsors, and multinational businesses in high-stakes disputes across federal and state courts, arbitral forums, and administrative proceedings. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, with particular experience in contract disputes, business torts, securities-related litigation, and matters requiring emergency injunctive relief.
Andrew has successfully represented clients in some of their most consequential disputes, regularly handling applications for temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, as well as expedited proceedings involving significant business and operational risks. He has extensive experience litigating in federal courts, New York state courts, and the Delaware Court of Chancery. His recent matters have included defending clients against efforts to obtain emergency injunctive relief, securing favorable resolutions in significant commercial contract disputes, and advising companies facing litigation with industry competitors and business counterparties.
In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Andrew advises clients in regulatory and administrative proceedings involving US government agencies. He has represented companies in matters before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Department of Justice (DOJ), state attorneys general, and overseas governmental authorities. He also has substantial experience representing companies in administrative matters involving US trade and national security-related restrictions, including efforts to challenge or seek removal from government-maintained restricted-party lists.
Andrew’s approach is informed by in-house experience gained through a secondment with one of the world's leading market-making firms, where he worked closely with business and legal teams on complex commercial, regulatory, and strategic matters. That experience gives him a practical understanding of how legal disputes affect business operations and helps him develop solutions aligned with clients' commercial objectives.
Andrew also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in civil rights matters and resentencing proceedings.
