Overview
Jack Wilcox advises on complex commercial disputes and international arbitration matters. Jack has particular experience advising on high-value commercial disputes involving breaches of contract and shareholder claims. These disputes frequently involve the coordination of multiple proceedings and investigations across a number of jurisdictions. Jack also has experience advising on regulatory investigations and shareholder class actions.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Jack worked at a leading Australian law firm in Sydney.

- Acted for a Swiss bank in prosecuting claims against insurers worth over US$2 billion in association with the collapse of an international financing group.
- Acted for a software company in a AUD$180 million contractual dispute with a former CEO regarding his entitlement to share options as well as the subsequent appeal proceedings.
- Acted for a listed retail bank in a shareholder class action concerning company disclosure obligations and anti-money laundering obligations.
- Acted for a mining company in a dispute concerning breaches of confidentiality and fiduciary obligations arising from an unsuccessful bid for a mining asset.
