Overview
Joseph Ecker focuses his practice on patent litigation representing companies in US federal district and appellate courts, Section 337 investigations at the International Trade Commission, and inter partes reviews at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Joseph also handles disputes involving trade secrets, antitrust, breach of contract, trademarks, and copyright.
Joseph has experience with technologies in industries including pharmaceuticals, biologics, electronics, software, chemicals, consumer goods, medical devices, telecommunications, and Internet of Things. Joseph has a background in bioengineering and a broad range of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Joseph formerly served as a patent examiner at the USPTO in various art units including fintech, blockchain, medical devices, and biotechnology. While in law school, Joseph also served as a judicial extern in the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
