Overview
Julie Wilson Lascano maintains a broad-based commercial litigation practice, representing public and private companies before state and federal courts. Her practice involves all phases of litigation, from managing broad discovery to drafting dispositive motions and appellate briefs. She has tried multiple cases, including managing the associate team of a $400 million fine art coverage dispute. Her varied experience includes commercial business disputes, insurance coverage, internal investigations, and trade secret matters. Julie has represented clients across a broad array of industries, including in the financial services, media, beauty, insurance, and start-up sectors.
Active in her pro bono practice, Julie has represented clients in housing, LGBTQ+, and judgment enforcement matters, including successfully enforcing a significant child support judgment and negotiating a settlement for a formerly unhoused veteran. Julie co-authors Steptoe's popular SDNY BLOG.

- Represented leading global beauty company in trade secret misappropriation litigation in the Southern District of New York against a competitor in the fragrance industry and former fragrance business employees.
- Represented satellite television company in a preliminary injunction action brought by mass media and entertainment company.
- Represented shipping company in trade secret misappropriation litigation and arbitration against a competitor and former employee.
- Represented tech company co-founder in bringing fraud, California Corporate Securities Law, and contract claims related to a de-SPAC transaction.
- Represented a Class I freight railroad company in opposing a control proceeding before the Surface Transportation Board.
- Authored internal report for financial services company reviewing policies for investigating and addressing sexual harassment complaints.
