Overview
Rowan Bost, a Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy, draws on a decade of experience in public policy to drive federal advocacy strategies across multiple policy areas, with a special focus on appropriations.
As a former Senate staffer, Rowan works with clients to design and execute strategies to influence legislation, regulation, and executive action. She also advocates on their behalf on Capitol Hill and at federal agencies, and has experience in coalition building and strategic communications.
Recognized as a "Top Lobbyist" by The Hill, Rowan is a natural problem-solver with a deep understanding of the legislative and budget processes. She helps position clients to maximize their chances to successfully bid on federal opportunities, and prides herself on elevating client profiles and establishing them as go-to resources in their respective fields at the federal level.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Rowan served as a legislative aide to Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), where she focused on appropriations, education, and judiciary issues. Rowan also managed daily operations for Senator Collins' successful 2020 Senate re-election campaign.
