Overview
Stephanie Sebastian focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, investigations, and criminal defense. She has worked on a wide range of matters involving consumer class actions, alleged deceptive trade practices, trade secret misappropriation, fraud, and antitrust issues. Stephanie has substantial experience in all phases of litigation including discovery, taking and defending depositions, motion practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Stephanie also regularly advises clients on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) developments, including greenwashing risks, human rights issues, and enforcement and regulatory trends.
Stephanie maintains an active pro bono practice, largely focusing on advancing racial justice and reproductive rights. She has drafted amicus briefs on behalf of the National Women's Law Center in Nicole v. Chase and Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard/UNC and worked on civil rights and impact litigation cases in cooperation with the American Civil Liberties Union and the Human Rights Campaign.
