Cara focuses her practice on complex business disputes, including commercial litigation, investigations, and class and mass action defense. She represents a wide range of clients in state and federal courts in cases involving breach of contract, violations of consumer protection statutes, products liability, trade secrets, insurance coverage, and real estate matters.
Cara’s diverse litigation and trial experience includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all aspects of multimillion-dollar disputes, from pre-suit case assessment and strategy development through discovery, trial, and appeal. Cara also assists clients conducting internal investigations and responding to government and third-party subpoenas.

- Representing real estate investment company in litigation involving claims of stolen trade secrets and violations of the civil RICO statute.
- Representing infant formula manufacturer in multiple products liability matters throughout the country involving allegations of negligence and violations of consumer protection statutes.
- Representing financing company in litigation to recover stolen PPE, including obtaining a preliminary injunction and receivership to facilitate the recovery.
- Representing financial services company before the Seventh Circuit in appeal of District Court dismissal of plaintiff’s claims for failure to arbitrate.
- Obtained judgment after trial in California Superior Court in favor of advertising company against breach of contract claims.
- Key member of trial team that obtained $30+ million trial verdict in Delaware Chancery Court for seller in asset purchase agreement dispute arising from the consequences of COVID-19. The judgment was affirmed by the Delaware Supreme Court.
- Obtained multiple dismissals of claims against insurance company in coverage disputes related to COVID-19 in state and federal courts throughout the country.
- Obtained TRO for telecommunications provider in dispute with one of the nation's largest hedge funds.
