Best Lawyers in America 2022 Recognizes 91 Steptoe Lawyers

(August 23, 2021, Washington, DC) — Steptoe has received 68 individual nods in the 2022 edition of The Best Lawyers in America©, with six partners named "Lawyer of the Year."  An additional 23 lawyers have been recognized in the second edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.

Best Lawyers is based on a peer-review survey in which all candidates recognized on the previous list are eligible to vote on other nominated lawyers working in the same practice and located in the same geographic region. For the 2022 edition of the US guide, some 10.8 million votes were cast. The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list recognizes lawyers who have been in private practice for less than 10 years in the United States. Selection to this list is also based entirely on peer review.

Only one lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is recognized as the "Lawyer of the Year." The lawyers being named as "Lawyers of the Year" have received particularly high ratings in this year's survey by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their abilities, professionalism, and integrity.
