Overview
Peyton primarily focuses on telecommunications, antitrust, and other regulatory matters. She advises clients on matters before the Federal Communications Commission, including rulemaking and licensing actions, regulatory review of mergers and acquisitions, and implementation of telecom and antitrust best practices.
Prior to joining the firm, Peyton served as a policy intern for the Future of Privacy forum, where she provided legislative analysis of rapidly emerging state and federal data privacy regulations, with a focus in youth and education privacy. During law school, she was actively involved in Vanderbilt's Black Law Students Association, Women Law Students Association, and the Entertainment & Sports Law Society. She first joined Steptoe as a 1L Summer Associate in 2022 through the Federal Communications Bar Association's Diversity Pipeline Program, a competitive internship and legal skills development program that prepares law students with diverse backgrounds and perspectives for careers in technology, media, and telecom.
Peyton received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, and both her M.A. summa cum laude in Mass Communications and B.S. in public relations from the University of Florida. She is a member of the American Bar Association and District of Columbia Bar.
