Sabina Jacobs Margot has extensive experience working on a broad range of real estate, financing, project financing, restructuring, and corporate matters.
Sabina's real estate practice includes representing investors, sponsors, funds and their portfolio companies, family offices, lenders, and major companies in acquisitions, mortgage and mezzanine financings, workouts, and leasing.
Sabina's project finance practice includes representing agents, arrangers, institutional investors, banks and lenders in the energy sector on credit facilities supporting the development and construction of renewable energy and infrastructure projects including renewable energy project construction and build-transfer financings and renewable project portfolio financings aligned with sustainability-linked principles.
Sabina also advises clients on various issues related to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), secured transactions, single purpose entities, reorganization and bankruptcy, and substantive consolidation.
Sabina has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America every year since 2021 for Real Estate Law and for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights and Insolvency and Reorganization Law.

- Represented a Luxembourg holding company and its US portfolio companies in their $61 million refinancing of various properties in Manhattan, Miami, San Francisco, and Savannah.
- Represented a Luxembourg holding company and its US portfolio company in its $60 million acquisition and financing of an iconic Chicago office tower.
- Represented foreign conglomerate and its US subsidiaries in the amendments to its $335 million secured credit facilities.
Project Finance
- Represented the arrangers, agents and sustainability coordinator on a secured, sustainability-linked working capital credit facility for a global renewable energy sponsor.
- Represented the arrangers, agents, issuing bank, and green loan coordinators in connection with a $520 million Green Loan Principles-aligned build-transfer project financing of a 265 MW wind farm in Texas.
- Represented mandated lead arranger, Green loan coordinator, agents, issuing bank and lenders in connection with a $70 million Green Loan Principles-aligned assumption and combined amendment, restatement, extension and increase of combined restructuring and refinancing for an operating portfolio of behind-the-meter battery energy storage systems located in Southern California.
- Represented the arrangers, agents, issuing bank, and green loan coordinators in connection with a $510 million Green Loan Principles-aligned build-transfer project financing of a 300 MW solar project in Missouri.
- Represented a leading independent specialist infrastructure credit fund manager in connection with an $85 million credit facility for an affiliate of an industry-leading provider of end-to-end parking technology including electric vehicle (EV) charging station infrastructure.
- Represented the arrangers, agents, issuing banks, and green loan coordinators in connection with a $500 million Green Loan Principles-aligned build-transfer project financing of a 200 MW wind farm in Illinois.
- Represented the arrangers, agents, issuing bank and green loan coordinators in connection with a $1.1 Billion Green Loan Principles-aligned build-transfer project financing of a 600 MW wind farm in Oklahoma.
