Overview
Drew M. Padley represents clients in complex civil and criminal matters, including investigations, trials, and appeals. His unique mix of creativity, diligence, tenacity, and tact aid him in securing outstanding results for those he represents.
Drew attended Stanford University, where he majored in international relations and studied for a semester in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating, Drew taught students in a variety of contexts, including a year of English language instruction in Taipei, Taiwan. He then attended the University of Houston Law Center, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Houston Law Review.
After law school, Drew clerked for the Honorable Gray H. Miller of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Honorable Michael S. Kanne, who sat on the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Energy Industry
- Represented subsidiary of major oilfield products and services company in arbitration of dispute regarding offshore oil and gas platform.
MDL/Mass tort
- Represent risk-management defendants in Multi-District Litigation stemming from the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival in Houston. Involvement includes discovery disputes, significant drafting in trial and appellate court, depositions of parties and non-parties, MDL court hearings, pre-trial, and trial work.
Commercial Litigation
- Represented fertilizer company in litigation with major international chemical company involving claims for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and misappropriation of trade secrets, including pre-trial and trial work.
