Overview
Yun Zhang is an intellectual property associate in Steptoe's New York office. She focuses her practice on life sciences patent litigation at the district court level, along with inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She has experience across a wide range of technologies, including small molecule pharmaceuticals (Hatch Waxman), glucose monitoring devices, and medical imaging devices. Her small molecule experience includes treatments for opioid dependence, chronic myeloid leukemia, and bacterial infections.
Prior to practicing law, Yun conducted research in the field of biochemistry and behavioral neuroscience, including studying caffeine metabolism and the effect of dietary choline supplementation on neurogenesis.
